Any contract made with me (Creative D) does not affect your statutory rights. Your order with Creative D constitutes your acceptance to my terms and conditions.Privacy policy
I will use the information that I collect about you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.I collect information about you for the following reasons:
- To process your order
- To contact you throughout the design process
I do not sell your details to advertising companies. I will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.
The type of information I will collect about you include:
- Your name
- Your postal address
- Your phone number
- Your e-mail address
- Your fax number
Intellectual property rights
Creative D will transfer ownership of the website design to the client when full payment has been made. Until such time all website design will remain the property of Creative D, including but not limited to, drawings, diagrams, artwork, designs, photographs, digital photographs, work manipulated on behalf of Creative D clients, work commissioned by a Creative D client, passwords, access codes, and flash codes specific to the Creative D clients website. I retain the right to use any HTML code, PHP code, database coding and Javascript on other clients projects.Creative D takes no responsibility, what so ever, for any website content, images or text provided by the client that subsequently has existing copyright associated with it that may cause grievance with the original owner.
When Creative D uploads the website to the web server and transfers ownership of design rights to the client, the client will accept full responsibility for the whole content of the website. Any grievance arising as a result of any content, either in the UK or any other countries, will be the sole responsibility of the client. Additionally, if links are placed on the website to illicit, third party websites, Creative D will not take any responsibility what so ever.

Creative D are based in Sheffield, UK and is therefore governed by UK law. Any content deemed to appear pornographic or that would cause extreme offence and anything considered illegal, we would refuse to continue with the project.The client is responsible for all content and Creative D will not be liable for any legal issues, any disputes that may arise from the content at any time.
Creative D will ask your permission to include a text link to our site from your homepage, reading, 'Sheffield Web Designers', and also to be able to display or exhibit final designs of your website to other potential clients.

Prices are correct as at 18/05/07 and are subject to change without notice.If you the client require extra options during a project, Creative D reserve the right to charge additional fees.
Any additional amendments made to designs, which are not included on the original hard copy or discs will be charged for at our current artwork rate.
Quotes do not include any visits requested by the client to configure any hardware or software on the client's equipment.
All prices quoted in any proposal are valid for 28 days from the date of proposal.

Web design services require no deposit for first design proofs. However, the cost of your hosting package is required before registering your domain and space. After your website has gone live the outstanding design balance must be paid within 30 days. Late payment interest may be charged if payment is not received by the due date.Graphic design and print services require no deposit for first design proofs. However, the full cost of printing and 25% of the design costs are required before artwork is submitted to press. After your printed material is delivered, the outstanding design fees must be paid within 30 days.

Creative D consider the project to be active after receiving confirmation from you to start initial design proofs.To cancel a project the client must contact me immediately.
Any work completed or expenses incurred at this point must be paid for by the client. A full invoice will be sent detailing these costs.
Once Creative D have setup your hosting account, (web space, email and domain name), your right to a refund is solely at the discretion of the hosting company and is out of my hands.

Any possible errors on your site that are due to a mistake on my part will be rectified immediately.The following are not covered by Creative D guarantee:
Errors that have occurred as a direct result of changes made to your site by you or a third party.
Web server faults that are due to your hosting company.
Errors that have arisen due to unforeseen changes in Internet software or hardware - such as new browsers or operating systems.
top of page↑Web hosting, email and domain names
Creative D act as your agent to find UK hosting suppliers and setup hosting accounts.Once these accounts have been setup and your web package has been paid in full, Creative D agree to send clients all hosting account details, such as login names and passwords.
Creative D cannot be held responsible for any virus that may be passed onto any computer from the web server or by email.
Creative D cannot guarantee web server security and cannot be held responsible for any loss or misuse by third parties of any data that is captured and / or stored on the web server, even using SLL encryption.
Creative D cannot be held responsible for any down time of the web server, or other equipment connected to the Internet which causes the clients website to be off-line for any reasonable amount of time, or causes loss of revenue on an E-commerce enabled website. These issues are the responsibility of the hosting companies.
Domain names are subject to availability.
Creative D will not be held responsible for any problems arising from the clients own email account and Internet service provider and cannot be held responsible for any software or hardware problems on the client's equipment.

Creative D will optimise your web pages ready for submission to the leading search engines. This will include keywords and phrases, meta tags and links.Creative D cannot guarantee inclusion or a particular ranking with any of these engines. We submit your website once only.

My updating service is for minor changes only. This includes small amounts of text and photographs on a specified page and you may contact me by phone or email at any time.Major design changes are charged at a higher rate depending upon the complexity of change and Creative D will be pleased to discuss changes at any time.

Creative D code to current W3C HTML and CSS standards. I rigorously test all my web designs for the following browsers (PC and Mac Platforms) -
